SAVE THE DATE YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS ONE!!

So believe it or not it is almost time to start thinking about Christmas YEAH! Some of you in the past have come to my holiday open-house and it has kinda become a tradition!! Well this year I decided to make it a little bigger and of course even better! Just a few hints so you can start thinking about it...We will be doing it at the Syracuse Community Center which is on the same street as my house. Of course we will have plenty of yummy food and paraffin hand treatments for free. Along with that we will have all product on sale 20% off and this year we will also have purses for sale. Ok as if that is not enough of course we will have a drawing for FREE colors cuts and more!! 

That will be the excitment from 6:00-7:00 and then from 7:00 to 8:00 we will be having a favorite things exchange. What is a favorite things exchange?? Each person will bring a basket or bag filled with $15.00 of YOUR favorite things ex..nail polish a secret cleaning supply, favorite hair product, favorite soap etc..( use your creativity )and then we will do a gift exchange and each person will go home with someone else's favorite things. You don't have to participate in the exchange to come. It will be a blast so

Lisa's Makeover!!

We went to the Peerless Spring Hair Show this weekend, here are a few things that we saw...

Why won't my hair grow past a certain length?

Ever asked yourself this question?  For many of us, once our hair reaches a certain point it just doesn't grow longer.  The reason is simple.  At any given time your hair is in one of three phases, anagen, catagen, or telogen.

The anagen phase is the growth phase.  In this phase new hair is being produced and growing faster that any other normal cell in the human body.  The average growth of healthy hair is about one inch per month.  About 90 percent of the hair on a persons head is growing in this phase at a time.  On average, hair is in this phase for about 3 to 5 years!  For some of us, it is shorter (which is why the hair won't get past a certain length) and for some of us it is much longer (some people could grow their hair down to the floor!).

The next phase is the catagen phase.  Hair is only in this phase from 1 to 2 weeks, and less than one percent of the hair is in this phase at any given time.  It is a transition phase.  It signals the end of growth .

The final phase is the telogen phase.  It is the final phase of the hair cycle.  Here, the hair is either shed or remains in place until the next anagen phase.  Only about 10 percent of the hair is in this phase at any given time.  It usually lasts for 3-6 months.  As soon as this phase ends, the hair starts over in the anagen phase.

So...don't worry if your hair won't grow past your shoulders, or if you notice your hair shedding occasionally.  This is normal!  Your hair is just going through it's natural cycle.
